Derek Hill Born on Nov. 4, 1967, Derek Hill was rated as one of the top 100 prospects coming out of his senior ranks from Carson High.

Derek went to the University of Arizona, where he was the #3
all-time receiver in the history of the school. He led Arizona in receptions for three straight years; he caught 115 passes for 1,983 yards and 14 touchdowns. Following his senior year, he played in the Hula Bowl and the Senior Bowl.

of the 1989 NFL draft
(the 61st player  selected overall.)

He played in all 16 games of his rookie season, and started 8.

That year, Derek ranked second on the team for reception yardage; he caught 28 passes for 455 yards, including a seven yard scoring pass from Bubby Brister against the Bengals.
