Former Carson Colts
player
Mike Wilson
star player for the

Born
on December 19, 1958,
Mike Wilson began his fabulous football career playing with the Carson
High Colts in 1976.
As a wide receiver, Mike set a Carson record for the most touchdown passes
caught in a season (10).

Mike Wilson went on to play for Washington
State, and then turned pro with the
San Francisco 49ers of the NFL, where he played from 1981-1990 on
not just one, but FOUR
Super Bowl teams! |

Mike Wilson was
on the roster for:
- Super Bowl XVI
(1982, versus the
Cincinnati Bengals, at the Pontiac Silverdome.)
- Super Bowl XIX
(1985, versus the
Miami Dolphins, at Stanford Stadium.)
- Super Bowl XXIII
(1989 versus the
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami.)
- Super Bowl XXIV
(1990, versus
the Broncos, at the Louisiana Superdome.)

Even
more amazing, Mike's team won
ALL FOUR
of those Super Bowl games!
“In 1990, Mike Wilson played his
last Super Bowl for the 49ers.
And like the other three, it was a victory, achieved very efficiently.
The 49ers' became the first repeat NFL champion in a decade
and tied the Pittsburgh Steelers as a pinnacle of Super Bowl perfection
with four wins in four tries...”

In 1992, Mike became a college coach
at Stanford.
In 1995, Mike Wilson joined the Oakland Raiders as a pro coach.
On 1997, he joined the staff at the University of Southern California (USC)
as wide receivers coach.
In Nov. 2001, Mike was now
out of coaching, and had gone into private business. He was currently living
in Southern California. Mike wrote:
"It's great to be back.
I went and spoke to the Carson Colts football team the week before the
season opener. I also attended their first game in Long Beach - it brought
back good memories. I'm in the process of getting back involved in the community
of Carson. I'm planning on doing guidance lectures for student athletes
(SAT preparedness/recruitment to college/mentoring). Also, football camps
for the kids this coming summer. I'm a proud alumni of Carson and want
to be a part of the community again. Thanks once again for the great web
site!!!!"
In June 2007, I received
an email letting me know that Mike Wilson was now coaching the wide receivers
for Arizona Cardinals (and had been for the last three years). Among the
Cardinals on his team: Pro-Bowl players Anquan Boldin & Larry Fitzgerald,
one of the most productive WR duos in NFL history.
